Disk Drill 5.3 has been released offering lots of improvements and fixes along with enhanced RAID data recovery, faster search and filtering of scan results, and optimized interface responsiveness.

  • RAID arrays backup is now available
  • New file types supported by Deep Scan – Lotus Notes Archive (.nsf)
  • Apple RAIDs 0/1/JBOD created on macOS computers are now supported for recovery
  • The context menu in the scan results list got the “Show in Explorer” option for convenience
  • Improved identification of GUID Partition Tables and MBR partition tables maximizing outcomes when looking for lost partitions

  • If some of the disks of a scanned RAID array are offline, the array is highlighted in red to draw immediate attention
  • Improved scanning for RAID arrays with JBOD configurations in cases when one of the disks is offline

  • Improved handling of found files in case their original modification date cannot be correctly recovered

  • Hex View option in scan results context menu was disabled in some cases
  • Incorrect scrolling behavior in scan results
  • Hex View window glitching when maximized
  • Scan results selection with space key glitch in offline scan sessions
  • A crash occurring during disk disconnection and reconnection
  • A crash occurring if the app was closed during rescanning of a disk
  • Disk Drill would sometimes remain active in the background after quitting
