My impressions after using this app are only positive. The interface is intuitive, the recovery capabilities are rather powerful as my deleted videos were restored quickly.
I had some .mpg files on a camcorder (Sony Handycam DCR-SR42) that had disappeared. At first Disk Drill couldn’t see the files. However, the developer personally worked with me and was able to update their program so that it could detect the file!

Disk Drill is perhaps most notable in its agnosticism about drive formats: it can handle crashed drives in Mac’s own HFS+ format as well as Windows FAT and NTFS and lost data on solid state cards used in portable electronics.
As a result, if you accidentally delete a file, empty the Trash Can when you didn’t mean to, or even run into a hardware issue, chances are very good that Disk Drill will be able to find the file using Quick or universal Scan.

Disk Drill has no detailed manual, nor is any needed, as there’s an excellent tutorial when you start the app, an evidencing of a very professional approach.

Folks, it just works. It took about an hour to finish, and Disk Drill doesn’t bother you at all during the process. I really love Disk Drill’s interface since it’s clearly divided into two sections for protection and recovery.

Bravo! I just did the high level scan. Unbelievable! You are the only one capable of recovering from a CF 16GB. Every program I tried so far failed miserably. My hat to you.

I tried free version of Disk Drill on several of my external HFS hard drives: recovery works perfect!
OK, been trying to break this but can’t… It just does what it says on the tin… It’s an app that I will keep at hand for all the Macs at home… Not only well prepared but with a GUI that looks good.
I saved a DMG backup of my failing hard drive on an external and got everything back. I would like to thank your company for great software and service. You just saved me 7500 songs, 2000 pictures, 75 movies, and over 25 recordings I made!
