FAQs

What do I agree to when I purchase Disk Drill Enterprise?

By completing your purchase, you agree to CleverFiles’ Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, End User License Agreement, and any order details shown at checkout.

If you are purchasing Disk Drill Enterprise on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that entity to these terms.

Disk Drill Enterprise is an annual subscription for commercial and organizational use. It renews automatically at the end of each 12-month billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.

Your subscription covers up to the number of devices selected at checkout. Disk Drill Enterprise is a digital software product delivered via activation code. Once the activation code or license details are issued, the product is considered delivered.

What is the refund policy?

Disk Drill Enterprise is a digital software product that provides immediate access after purchase. Enterprise purchases and renewals are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly stated in a written agreement with CleverFiles.

Canceling your subscription stops future renewals only. It does not provide a refund or credit for the current billing period, unless required by applicable law.

Before purchasing, you can evaluate Disk Drill using the free Disk Drill Basic edition. The free edition allows you to scan your storage and preview recoverable files, so you can verify recovery results before upgrading.

How do I cancel the Disk Drill Enterprise annual subscription?

You can cancel the renewal of your Disk Drill Enterprise subscription through the Paddle Customer Portal at any time before the renewal date.

Your Enterprise license will remain active until the end of the current paid annual term. After that, it will not renew automatically. Learn more about cancellation.

Cancellation applies to future renewals only and does not provide a refund or credit for the current paid term, unless required by applicable law.

If you still need help or something wasn't clear, please contact our Support Team - we're always here for you.

How is Disk Drill Enterprise delivered after purchase?

Once your order is processed, we send the activation code to the email address provided at checkout. Enter the activation code in the free Basic edition of Disk Drill to unlock the enterprise data recovery software features.

The Enterprise subscription may be used only by the purchasing organization and its authorized users for internal commercial or organizational purposes, and only on up to the number of devices included in the subscription.

The license is non-transferable and may not be resold, sublicensed, shared outside the purchasing organization, unless agreed by CleverFiles in writing.

How are payments handled, and what payment methods are available?

All orders are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record and authorized reseller, which provides global e-commerce, billing, and tax handling services. We accept a number of the most convenient payment methods: all major credit and debit cards, PayPal and wire transfers. Your convenience and transaction safety are our main priority. If you need a formal quote, would like to place a Purchase Order or pay with another payment method, please, get in touch.

What updates are included with Disk Drill Enterprise, and what does “annual subscription” mean?

Disk Drill Enterprise includes product updates and upgrades made generally available during your active subscription term, keeping your data recovery for enterprise deployments up to date.

“Annual subscription” means a paid 12-month license term. At the end of each term, the subscription renews automatically for another 12 months unless canceled before the renewal date.

If the subscription expires or is not renewed, Enterprise paid features may stop working after the current paid term.

What does “commercial & organization use” include?

Disk Drill PRO is licensed for personal, non-commercial use. Disk Drill Enterprise is enterprise data recovery software licensed for commercial and organizational use by the purchasing organization and its authorized users.

The Enterprise subscription covers recovering data on computers and storage devices owned or managed by your organization, on up to the number of devices included in the subscription.

The license may not be resold, sublicensed, or shared outside the purchasing organization, unless agreed by CleverFiles in writing. If you intend to provide data recovery as a paid service to third parties, please contact us, as such use requires a separate written agreement with CleverFiles.

What is forensic data export?

Forensic data export allows you to save a structured report of a scan session. The report lists the files found during the scan, including their names, paths, and exact locations on the disk.

This is useful when scan results need to be documented, such as for case documentation, internal investigations, or audits.

Forensic data export is an enterprise data recovery feature available only in Disk Drill Enterprise for Mac. It is not included in Disk Drill Basic or Disk Drill PRO, and is not currently available in the Windows version.

How does technical support work for Enterprise customers?

Enterprise requests matter to us. We want Disk Drill to be the best enterprise data recovery software you can rely on, so we aim to review these requests first and involve our most experienced engineers when a case requires deeper expertise.

Our support team assists with license activation and management, installation and deployment questions, guidance on data recovery for enterprise environments, including complex scenarios such as RAID, NAS, or unbootable systems, and billing or invoicing matters.

To get assistance, please contact our Support Team using the email address associated with your Enterprise order.

How are devices counted?

Enterprise licenses are counted per device, not per user. Each computer on which Disk Drill Enterprise is activated uses one device slot, regardless of how many people use that computer.

Volume pricing is applied automatically at checkout. The more devices included in the subscription, the lower the price per device, which allows Disk Drill Enterprise to scale as data recovery software for business fleets of any size.

If you need more than 100 devices, a formal quote, or would like to place a Purchase Order, please get in touch.
