Software Alternative to Recover Lost Data

  2. Install Disk Drill to your computer. After you accept the license agreement, the next screen will familiarize you with the basic features of the tool. Click on “Continue” to proceed. It is recommended that you enable data protection before starting. This is done to increase the chances of you being able to recover your desired documents and files.Enable data protection.
  3. Launch a Disk Drill. Choose the disk you want the software to scan. On the right side of the screen, information regarding the chosen file is available. Move to the “Recovery” option and select “All Recovery Methods” to ensure optimal scan of the selected drive.   5. When the scan is complete, click on “Review found items” and you will be brought to a screen where all the recovered data is presented. The next step is to pick the files you want to recover. 
  6. Click on “Recover”. The storage space and the number of the chosen files will appear, as well.Rreview and recover deleted files.
  7. A pop-up on the screen will ask you for the destination of the retrieved files. These files should not be stored in the same place as before. Once the destination of the files is confirmed by the software, click on “OK” and you are done.Select recovery path.
