However, it seems that on older Mac OS X versions (specifically on 10.8.x), the mounted disk may not show up automatically after being mounted, or may not be listed as an external drive in Finder if you accidentally close its window.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7510 colorbox-7509\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/finder-prefs-disk-drill.png\" alt=\"Disk Drill preferences\" width=\"457\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cleverfiles.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/finder-prefs-disk-drill.png 457w, https:\/\/www.cleverfiles.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/finder-prefs-disk-drill-300x284.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 457px) 100vw, 457px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To fix that, go to <b>Finder<\/b> -&gt; <b>Preferences<\/b> -&gt; <b>General<\/b>, and enable &#8220;<b>Connected Servers<\/b>&#8221; checkbox. Now look for the new drive called &#8220;<b>Recoverable<\/b>&#8221; in Finder.<\/p>\n<p>This should do the trick.
