Here is an explanation for some of the symbols you might see.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Information Button (i)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The small &#8220;i&#8221; in a circle under the name is the Information button. You can click on this to get detailed information about each disk, including the type of file system, capacity of the volume, whether data protection is enabled, and <a title=\"How Can I Monitor S.M.A.R.T. Status (Disk Health) With Disk Drill?\" href=\"\/help\/monitor-smart-status-disk-health\/\">S.M.A.R.T. details<\/a>. The color of the information button indicates the S.M.A.R.T. status of the volume:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Green<\/strong>\u00a0means that\u00a0S.M.A.R.T. status is active and no problems are detected.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Red<\/strong>\u00a0means\u00a0S.M.A.R.T. is active and bad sectors or other\u00a0S.M.A.R.T. issues have been detected.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Orange<\/strong>\u00a0means S.M.A.R.T. The colors indicate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 16px;\"><strong>Green<\/strong> means there is plenty of free space available.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Blue<\/strong> means about 50% of the volume is free space.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Red<\/strong> means there is very little free space left.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Symbols<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 16px;\"><strong>Padlock<\/strong> next to name means that the disk has been <a title=\"Why Should I Remount Disks\/Partitions In Read-Only Mode?\" href=\"\/help\/remount-disks-partitions-in-read-only-mode\/\">mounted as read-only<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Shield<\/strong> on the disk icon means the disk is protected by <a title=\"Recovery Vault FAQs\" href=\"\/help\/recovery-vault-faqs\/\">Recovery Vault<\/a> and\/or <a title=\"Guaranteed Recovery FAQs\" href=\"\/help\/guaranteed-recovery-faqs\/\">Guaranteed Recovery<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the main Disk Drill screen, you will see a list of all the available disks and partitions.
