Hi, I have just recently use Disk Drill to recover my deleted data from 3 months ago and after I ran the deep scan it showed all the deleted pictures, videos, and musics. Couple issue though, first with the pictures some of them are perfect but some are smaller in size as if they were just a preview of the original size. Also the video is all with the file type .mov but I can’t play them in QuickTime as it giving me error message “could not be opened.. this movie is not in a format that QuickTime player understands”. The music files were perfectly recovered. Any thoughts on why i am experiencing this problem? ThanksAugust 10, 2011 at 10:45 pm #4770
Well, this is all related to recovery possibilities: smaller images are recovered since they are found on your disk. Movies can’t be played… due to a number of reasons. Deep Scan doesn’t recover original file names, usually… but if there are parts of catalog that can be found, Deep Scan will be able to get the filenames. Anyway, just check the software tutorial, it has a lot of answers on similar questions.
