Only half of recovery successful

    Disk drill scanned my faulty external hdd and found 1.2TB information in it. When I tried to recover all files it recovered only ±500GB and after that it says “Recovery successfuly finished”.
    But how it can be successfuly finished if it recovered only 500GB instead of 1.2tb…

    Sometimes the recovery ends up with less data recovered than found. While scanning, Disk Drill predicts the size of the recoverable items. While recovering it verifies it as it goes byte-by-byte and it may occur that a file may end sooner than predicted. Hope it helps.
