My external hard drive recently deleted files within a number of folders, I’ve run the deep scan of the Disk Drill Pro version, however, none of the files have names or are in the original folder structure, many of the recovered files are also unrecognisable. Sorting out thousands of files, mostly in my case documents and experimental data, would be an asbolutely monumental task. I thought disk drill would restore the original file name at least? Why have I only got a list of, for example a folder entitled ‘pdf’, then for instance ‘eps’ etc, they seem to be arranged by file type alone and the files are named in numerical order (presumably that they were retrieved).
Please see other topics and our knowledgebase on this issue. Deep Scan is not able to recover file properties. No way to do this. If Quick Scan or Search for Lost Partitions don’t get that data back, it’s lost for good.
