I have a large 3.64 TB RAID drive that stopped working during moving some data.
When I plug in to my MB Pro I get cannot initialize – but shows up in the disk utility –
I am currently running a scan with 20+hrs to go, if this works and recovers data will I get back the original folders structure on the disk and will it save the original file names ?
Is this will this be possible ?
You need to check the product tour for explanation of the differences in scanning methods. And also have a look at this article: /help/how-can-i-recover-txt-files/
Long story short: only Quick Scan or Search for Lost Partitions will get your file structures back, and in some cases Deep Scan is also capable of that, but it depends.
