I’m scanning a large volume (2TB) and so far it’s recovered a couple of thousand files. However I can’t view/open ANY of these. I understand how recovery works and I was expecting some files to be unusable (although the disk wasn’t used after I lost the files), but I’m not sure why none of the files would work. This applies even to the document and rtf files that I have. Is this normal? Will the files somehow become readable once the scan is completely finished, or should I forget the quick scan and try a deep scan instead? Any help would be much appreciated!
Quick Scan is one of the most reliable recovery methods. Please send the details of your recovery case (hard drive, file system, file types, sizes, etc) to firstname.lastname@example.org so we could check this more thoroughly.
