Can someone tell me how long it would take to do a deep scan on a 1TB WD hard drive. Trying to recover photos & video files. It does a deep scan in 20 mins and then scans again? Should this happen and how long would this normally take?

I think it just builds a free space map during the initial 20 minutes. Then it starts the scan. The speed depends very much on physical state of your drive. The scan will take longer if there are bad blocks/sectors on the disk.

I have a wd passport 1 tb. It starts off saying it will take me 13000 hours then after a few hours it settles down to around 370 hours. Is this too much? i realise its a complicated procedure.but this seems quite long. so if files managed to get found, how much do i have to pay?

Disk Drill version and build? Are you sure that no other apps access this drive at the moment? Is it definitely connected via USB 2.0, not USB 1.1? Any bad sectors on the disk?
