In the process of downloading now. Have had a good look round the site and this looks really promising so far.
Will have a good look over the next couple of days and see if I can get some constructive comments to post.
Its great to see software like this available to the general users…
Well I have had a chance to give this a go today and well … it works as advertised.
Created some test files of various formats … Video , photos, text etc and placed them in various folders then deleted them, emptied the trash, did a shut down then a restart and recovered all the files.
A nice simple interface guys that is easy to follow (with help available as well) that enables you to recover the files.
Takes a while to scan the drive if you use the protected mode.
Like the option to select protected folders and exclusion folders.
Access to the log files is handy (You can see what has happened).
The user guide is straight forward and easy to follow as is the tutorial.
Found one error its only cosmetic but if the diskdrill window is to small then the text in the lower grey box is centred (truncated at the start and finnish) and you have to open the window to full screen as there are no scroll bars.
Ok been trying to break this but can’t ….
It just does what it says on the tin…..
Its an app that I will keep at hand for all the Macs at home ….
If you need any Alpha or private beat testing let me know guys…
Disk Drill is obviously a carefully thought out, well planned application designed to be user-friendly for people of all levels of ability. It’s always a pleasure to use applications that are so well prepared.
