    Hi all,
Newbie here… I had a HD go bad in a 3disc Raid. I am new to this software and am a little confused on how to get my RAID back on line to copy my files to another disc set. Mac Pro 2008 Intel. Mavericks.

    Thanks in advance.

Did you try to run Disk Drill? When it sees the troublesome disk, try recovering data on it, or rebuilding its directory (Disk Drill will offer that option automatically if it’s possible).

    Thanks JR,
I did run a scan on my raid…it took all night which is understandable. It seems to have recovered a lot of my files but not all of them. They are in a folder called “Reconstructed Files”. I did a rebuild on my raid not recovery. Is that correct?

Probably rebuild did not work, as rebuilding produces different results than just reconstructing files. Directory rebuild is only good when there’s any way to recover your lost file system. Seems that it was not possible in this case. Files are reconstructed by Deep Scan, and that’s the Disk Drill’s recovery algorithm that took all night in your case. If the files can be previewed correctly and represent those that you were looking for, don’t waste your time, copy them out to a working drive.
