Hi! im new on this program, im trying to recover an hfs+ partition, there´s not file corruption or fisical damage, the only problem is that mac os cant mount it, im trying to rebuild the hfs+ catalog file, but in the screen where it says “you can preview the rebuild partition below, Make sure it´s the data you where looking for, the hit rebuild” I cannot hit “rebuild” because it apper to be disabled, what can I do? Im doing something wrong or missing a step?
I need to recover the partition because I dont have where to back that files.
    thank for your help.

Are you using Disk Drill Basic or PRO? Obviously you might need to upgrade to PRO to use this recovery method. You can also send a screenshot of this screen to help@cleverfiles.com, so we could see what you see and make a better recommendation if possible.

    Hi.
I have exactly the same problem. I’m using the PRO version.
    Thanks.

Can you do the same that we asked above? If Rebuilding directly to the damaged drive is not possible, you should be getting an error message telling you that copying your data out is the only available option.

I’ve already done that, waiting for the answer to the e-mail.
There is no error message, just the Rebuild button grayed out.
The partition is shown as “LOST PARTITION 1”, I can enter the REBUILD window, but no chance to click the button.
It happens in at least three machines I’ve tested, with three different disks (of four) in which we lost data because what seems to be a directory overwriting.
    Thanks.

Can you, please, verify that the partition you are rebuilding is not mounted to your computer at the moment? You can do it by launching Disk Utility and Ejecting it if it’s mounted.

    The partition wasn’t mounted.

Hi again, can you, please, try the latest release of Disk Drill 2.4.433, and let us know if you are still experiencing the issue? You can get it here: http://www.cleverfiles.com/getdiskdrill
