I wrongly started to format my NAS HDD 3TB formatted ext3 where there was all my mkv movies. I stopped it immediately but it’s impossible to see anything in the HDD. Now I put the HDD into a USB 3.0 enclosure and I’m trying to recover. In the beginning DDP said that would have been necessary 36 hours to recover, but after 24 hours of deep scan Disk drill Pro says that the scan needs 115 more. Why it’s so long?
I can see all the movies but they are named as “file00000.mkw”, file00001.mkv and so on… and the preview is not avaliable.
are them lost at all? I don’t want to loose all my 2,4TB movies!!!!!

The progress bar is still the same and doesn’t increase. The remaining time is the only value that increases.June 7, 2013 at 12:29 am #5107
Restart the scanning. Make sure no other applications are accessing the disk at the same time. If Deep Scan gets stuck again, email our support team at firstname.lastname@example.orgJune 7, 2013 at 12:41 am #5108
I restarted the scan three times but the progress bar stops everytime at the same point and the remaining time starts to increase.
it’s impossible to view anyone of the .mkv movie files from the list of recovered.
is it possible that there is an unreadable area?
is it possible to jump after this stopping area?
