I read sometime ago… somewhere (i think it was online help) about a correct procedure after defragmenting a disk…. something like “forget disk”…
I can’t find anything recent on this, so…
Is there a correct procedure after defragmenting a disk that was previously protected in the vault so that If needed to use disk drill, it would no do “strange” stuff or try to recover files that were wiped?
    thanks

I’m really not sure what you mean at all. Does this help – /help/no-files-found-deep-scan/ ?

Not exactly; but I found the answer I needed… just went ahead and unprotected the partition… then came 3 options, one of them was “(unprotect) Yes, and reset it”
    thanks
